Control plane here, data plane yours.
The web application, the catalog metadata and billing run as SaaS. Kernels, warehouses and every byte of your data run on an agent deployed in your account and your network.
What the control plane does
Authentication, the user interface, product permissions, job definitions, usage accounting and AI routing.
What the agent does
Starts and stops Apache Spark™ kernels and Trino™ SQL warehouses, executes work against your storage, streams results back to the browser and emits lineage and usage events.
FinOps
Compute is metered on both CPU and memory rather than core hours alone, because a memory-heavy job and a CPU-heavy job on the same core count are not the same cost. Usage is attributed down to the user, the role, the compute and the domain, and that attribution drives real money movement, not just a dashboard. Tenant invoices are self-contained: seats and compute on one bill.
- Per-domain chargeback without a spreadsheet reconciliation step
- Warehouse autoscaling bounded by minimum, maximum and scaledown grace
- Idle workspaces are visible before they are expensive

We will walk through your workloads and show what runs where.
